The programmer/publisher of iData Pro and iData Mobile Plus has retired. There are no remaining iData Partners.
Please see the Transition Guide for the most up-to-date information. There is a link to the Transition Guide under the Help menu beginning with iData 4.0.49.
NEWIt turns out that it is not too difficult to copy iData Pro datafiles to display in Apple Notes. It will be important to copy the latest versions of all of your datafiles to Notes prior to each update to a new version of Mac OS. That way, if you cannot open iData Pro 4 in the new OS, you will at least have your data.
I've created a separate web page to explain how to do this. ClickHERE.

IData Pro, Go Cocoa — iData Pro has long been my favorite digital shoebox, a repository for completely miscellaneous text snippets, as I explained in TidBITS-675.The program was available through Casady & Greene, who closed their doors in June 2003. IData’s author, Mike Wright, robbed of a distribution channel, thereupon generously started giving the program away. With MiLi iData Air Ⅱ, you can alternate the file capacity limit for fast file transfer. Developed by MiLi´s R&D team, the MiLi chipset the first of its kind provides stability and multiple functions for the iData Pro, which has been customized for the iOS smart drive. An update, QuickDEX II was released and the product eventually became InfoGenie and then iData Pro. The purpose of this software is to store text data that doesn't fit into more rigid database structures. QuickDEX and its successors featured an extremely fast search, phone dialing, as well as label and envelope printing.

QuickDEX is a free form database software application first released by Casady & Greene for the classic Mac OS.[1] An update, QuickDEX II was released[2] and the product eventually became InfoGenie and then iData Pro.[3] The purpose of this software is to store text data that doesn't fit into more rigid database structures. QuickDEX and its successors featured an extremely fast search, phone dialing, as well as label and envelope printing. InfoGenie and iData Pro 1.0 added the ability to have user-defined fields in a record along with the freeform text area.

Since the closing of Casady & Greene, Inc., iData has been taken over by Mike Wright and Robin Casady. It is currently available from iDataPartners.com and a new version has been written for Mac OS X. iData Pro expands on its predecessors by adding (among many other features) the ability to have styled text, images, and sound files in the freeform text area.

There is also a version available for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch through iTunes. It is called iData Mobile Plus.
